The Tutoring Center, Kansas City MO

This month we are pleased to feature Laura Smith in our Tutor Spotlight.

After working in education for 20 years, Laura has decided to retire from classroom teaching and take the plunge into the tutoring world! A true teacher at heart from a young age, Laura has always loved working with students to help develop their strengths. She is excited to continue building up the next generation of students through tutoring.
Residents of the Historic Liberty Square, Laura and her husband reap the benefits of a fruitful and purposeful life with their new dog, Cota, whom they rescued from KC Pet Project. They have two children in college and work as a family to stay close despite being a house divided: their son is a senior at Mizzou while their daughter is a freshman at KU.
Laura enjoys tutoring because she truly loves helping children reach their potential. She enjoys working with such a caring team, and she embraces the individualized instruction and rotational approach used at TTC. When she’s not tutoring, you can find her cycling, swimming, and hiking in Colorado, or maybe even indulging in chocolate chip cookies from Lamar’s Donuts.
Thank you, Laura, for all you do for our team and students.
