The Tutoring Center, Kansas City MO

Congratulations to Mr. Joe Badalucco, nominated by his student Rayvon Adams, for being selected as this month’s TTC Person of Influence! Mr. Badalucco teaches at Liberty High School and is proud to be a Blue Jay! Rayvon nominated Mr. Badalucco because “he’s funny and a really nice teacher. No matter what, he will always be there to help you.”

Mr. Badalucco has a fabulous family consisting of his beautiful and supportive wife, Marla, who also teaches at the secondary level, their two wonderful daughters, Olivia and Ella, and their 8-year-old pug named Ringo. Together, they enjoy going to the local swimming pool, Worlds of Fun, the KC Zoo, and just about anywhere else that will keep everyone entertained for the day.

After graduating college, Mr. Badalucco initially worked at a vocational college as an Enrollment Counselor. He really enjoyed interacting with prospective students and providing them with guidance and support. He knew he wanted to continue working in some facet of education and teaching seemed to fit his skill set, so he decided to pursue it as a career. As a teacher, Mr. Badalucco enjoys building positive relationships with his students and being able to have an impact on their lives while guiding them through both their good and bad days.

If he could have any superpower, Mr. Badalucco would choose the power to heal — physically, mentally, and emotionally. A connoisseur of Mexican foods, Mr. Badalucco’s favorites are tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. As an Italian-American, Mr. Badalucco would love to travel to Italy to explore where it all started for his family.

Thank you, Mr. Badalucco, for all you do to enrich the lives of our children!
